SUNDAY MORNING · SAN FELIPE
The best part of the trip happens before we ride
On Sunday morning we gather in the street outside a carnicería in San Felipe, where widows, orphans and single mothers line up for food, clothes and toys. It's a morning you will never forget.
How the morning works
- AT HOMEPack a donationBring what you can fit in the truck. The list is below.
- SATURDAY AFTERNOONBag it at the hotelEveryone pitches in sorting and bagging at Hotel El Cortez before the rider's meeting.
- SUNDAY MORNINGTo the carniceríaWe gather in the street outside the market. Widows, orphans and single mothers line up, and the cash we collected buys their food inside.
- THENKit up and rideGroups head out on Day 1 with a lot more than dust in their eyes.

The food fund
Cash buys groceries at the carnicería: meat, beans, rice and the basics for a family. We suggest $100 to $500 per rider. Give online before the trip or bring cash to the rider's meeting. Luis and the Service Day team do the shopping.
Both go straight to Luis Muzquiz, the ride coordinator: Venmo @lmoosekey or PayPal LuisMuzquiz642. Add "Baja 2027 food fund" to the note.
Not riding this year? Anyone can give, no registration needed.
